Selling myself is the hardest part of this job. It feels unnatural. But over time, I’ve realized that what I do at C&C by the Lake starts with me. First, I sell myself—the person who will walk beside you during your wedding planning journey. Then comes our all-inclusive package. Finally, there’s our stunning lakeside venue.
More Than Just a Planner
Your wedding planner is more than a vendor. In truth, I’ll be your confidant, your cheerleader, and sometimes your crisis manager. That’s why I attend every tour, even last-minute ones. Meeting in person matters, because it shows you who I am and what I bring to the table.
At the end of the day, you’re not just choosing a package or venue. Instead, you’re choosing someone to trust with your vision. I want to be the one who has your back—for big decisions, small details, and everything between.

Let’s get personal. I’m Kortney Strange—a proud mom to Joey and James Margaret, wife to Zach, and fur mom to our sweet pup. When I’m not planning weddings, you’ll find me by the pool with a podcast, sipping cocktails on a patio, pushing a kid on a swing, or working on a craft project. I also own Ever Strange Floral & Events.
How I Landed My Dream Job
Someone pinch me—this feels like a dream! Here’s how it happened.
My dad worked as a fish farmer. After he retired, his ponds sat vacant. Then one day, he decided to bulldoze the levies and create a lake. He also built what he called a “little party room.” When I saw it, I knew it was more than that. It was grand, beautiful, and full of potential.
So I told him, “Dad, we need a plan.” I helped him build a website, set up social media, and spread the word. To showcase the space, I organized styled shoots. Weddings started booking quickly.
At the time, I worked full-time as an Occupational Therapist in Little Rock while raising kids. I balanced OT by day and weddings by night. But just 10 months in, I knew my heart belonged to weddings. I took the leap and went all-in.
In 2024 alone, I planned 41 all-inclusive weddings. What began as my dad’s “party room” is now C&C by the Lake—a dream venue where couples make lasting memories.
What I Do with the All-Inclusive Package
Here’s the truth: traditional weddings can be stressful. Families juggle setup, cleanup, and vendors who don’t always fit. I saw that struggle and wanted a better way. That’s why I created the all-inclusive package.
Over time, we perfected the process. Here’s what I do for you:
- Getting to Know You: I learn about your story, style, and must-haves.
- Creating a Plan: I build a custom guide with colors, themes, and décor.
- Booking Vendors: I handle photography, DJ, catering, cake, and more—with trusted pros.
- Designing Décor: My favorite part—floral design and transforming the venue.
- Day-of Coordination: I manage the timeline and vendors while you relax.
- Cleanup: At the end, I pack up your belongings and handle the mess.
